Welcome to Tech For Non-Techies!
The world of tech is rapidly changing and can be overwhelming. The goal of this site is to present tech in a way that makes sense to everyone. There are countless tech sites, but they are geared for techies. We want to make navigating into the tech world more pleasant and enjoyable for non-techies. Most of all, we want it to make sense.
What will this site cover?
Of course, we will discuss all the different kinds of gadgets, everything from cord cutting to smart homes to smartwatches and fitness trackers. We will also have regular posts on cybersecurity. You don’t have to be a techie to be safe online. Every Friday we will have a post about programming. We will go slow. Finally, we will also post about jobs in tech. Believe it or not, you don’t need to be a techie to work in technology.
Wouldn’t tech for techies be better?
No. Absolutely not. Tech has become too complicated for most people. The problem is that you can’t get away from it. We want to tone down the jargon and make it easy to understand. So please, don’t give up. Come back here regularly and you will know as much as the techies.
If you are here for the first time, feel free to browse through our archives. They’re organized by categories to make finding things easier. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can search through the site.
If you’re already a techie, give us a chance. Maybe you will learn something from us. Even if you already know everything, please send your non-techie friends and family here to learn about tech. Finally, if you have suggestions for a subject that isn’t covered, or isn’t up to your standards, leave us a comment or let us know at techie@techfornontechies.com.
